Music

The students of the HVRHS Music department have many opportunities available to them.  We have two day ensembles: Concert Band and Concert Choir, as well as four audition based night groups: Jazz band, Night choir, Sweethearts (female acapella), and Heartbreakers (male acapella).  Beyond performance, students can explore the world of music in music appreciation, learning the history of world music, and hopefully developing a new set of ears, or stretch their creative capacity in the music theory sequence (music theory 1-3, and AP music theory for students seeking independent study), composing new works in our state of the art music computer lab.
